In addition to regular eight lessons of forty minutes duration each day, there are two short break periods, as well as time set aside for attendance at Mass/study and also daily lunch at school.
Two periods of eighty minutes duration per week are devoted to well-supervised sports for every student. In addition, students who are members of the school’s sports teams or members of sports clubs do extra practice after school hours. Clubs and societies registered by the school may also meet weekly after school hours.
The school session starts in mid-September. Each of the three terms is about 12 to 13 weeks in duration. The mid-term break is a no-class extended weekend (from Friday to Monday) midway through the term. The three week Christmas holiday in December marks the end of the First Term. The Second Term ends with the Easter break which is also about three weeks long. The Third Term ends in mid-July in the middle of the rainy season. This period of long vacation of eight weeks falls within the northern hemisphere’s summer season when many families tend to travel to their home towns or towards Europe and North America.
