Students of all backgrounds are welcome, and there is no religious, cultural, or ethnic discrimination. On October 2, 2000, the school opened its doors for the first time. The school follows the educational model of successful, parent-promoted educational institutions that have existed in many parts of the world for more than four decades.
At Whitesands, we guide students in developing personal improvement projects and provide assistance in bringing these life projects to fruition. Each student is encouraged, with the help of parents and teachers, to explore and develop his unique abilities and talents, with the ultimate goal of realizing their aspirations and becoming who they truly want to be.
The mission of the school is to provide students with the skills they need to grow into well-rounded individuals, compassionate citizens, and capable professionals. Our educational approach at Whitesands School revolves around a unique vision that combines Christian humanism with personalized care and attention.
Our dedicated efforts extend to each individual student, as the school strives to contribute to the construction of their future—the future they envision for themselves—in close collaboration with their parents.
The school campus is on a two-hectare plot in Lekki, Lagos. The built-up floor area for classrooms, labs, and common facilities at Whitesands School is over 5000 square-metres. A 2400-square-meter multi-purpose covered court is also available.
The school has had eighteen graduating classes, totaling over a thousand graduates. Over 70% of graduates continue their education at universities in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada, including top universities such as Harvard, Imperial College, Oxford, and the London School of Economics. Several graduates were recognized with honours and scholarships. Our alumni have established themselves and achieved success in a variety of professional fields.
